Jonathan Heighway formed Heighway Associates Architects (HAA) in 1996 having enjoyed a busy career at Nabil Fanous Architects in London.
The practice has grown from strength to strength and projects range in size typically from £40,000 to £3,000,000 build cost
Typical projects are residential extensions, refurbishments and new builds. We have also completed a number of office fit outs, boathouses, re ordering and extending churches, school extensions, data centres, shops and industrial units.
Typically, HAA work in the Marlow, Maidenhead, Beaconsfield and Henley areas.

Full planning application including scale drawings, design and access statement and relevant information required by the Local Authority.
This will ascertain the likelihood of achieving planning approval. The local planners will look at areas such as highways & environmental aspects for the proposal which will also assist in the preparation of a future planning application.
Often required to limit the upfront costs to a client before committing fully to undertaking the project. We will explore design options, identify viability, develop brief and project plans.
Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015. We will fulfil the role of Principal Designer to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate Health & Safety matters during the pre-construction phase to ensure your project is carried out without any risks to Health & Safety.
We create accurate drawings of the existing building site to be used as a base for our design drawings.

Full plans application to the Local Authority or Improved Inspectors ensuring that your design complies with Building Regulations.
Once your project is ready to go on site we can administer the building contract and inspect the work as it progresses. We can act as a single point of contact.
This project included the restoration, refurbishment and extension of a detached post war family house close to the centre of Beaconsfield.
Our clients have an interest in Art Deco furniture and furnishings and the brief to HAA was to flood the house with natural light and provide plenty of hanging and shelf space.
